The President of Georgia calls on the government to renew the projects frozen in Adjara and bring investors back
The President of Georgia once again calls on the government to renew the projects frozen in Adjara and bring investors back. Mikheil Saakashvili toured frozen infrastructural works at resorts around the Goderdzi pass by a helicopter. He also visited the unfinished part of the Adigeni road, construction of which was stopped after the elections as well as construction of hotels near the mountain ski resort. The President personally participated in construction of a 200 person local hotel last August. It was only possible to build a ropeway on this territory in time before elections.
“If we had one more year we would have established a mountainous Adjara as a better place than many luxury resorts of the world and would help the local people” – noted the Head of State.
Mikheil Saakashvili also toured the Green Lake territory and called on the government to renew projects and development of the mountainous Adjara resorts. The President of Georgia had planned to develop a world class resort infrastructure around the Goderdzi Pass and the Green Lake.
