The President of Georgia attended the liturgy held at the Sameba Cathedral by the Catholicos Patriarch of all Georgia in the memory of the souls of the Georgian troops killed in Afghanistan. Mikheil Saakashvili attended the mourning ceremony and extended condolences to the families of the deceased soldiers. The Head of State also participated in the ceremony of relocating the deceased Georgian soldiers from the Sameba Cathedral.
