The President of Georgia toured a newly built hotel in Bakhmaro today. Mikheil Saakashvili noted that 3 more hotels will be opened in Bakhmaro this year, and along with the infrastructural projects, development of tourism will begin. According to him, Bakhmaro will turn from a local resort to a resort of national and international significance.

“We are going to build a stone square, and we are going to build asphalt roads leading to every house. That’s when Bakhmaro will become the best resort. Bakhmaro was always a resort of local meaning. And now, this place must become a resort of national and international significance. This is our goal. The most important thing was to build the road leading here. The rest will be taken care of. It is important that a cinema was built. People will now have a place to gather. 3 hotels must be built next year, which means that we will have 4 hotels in total. We have to have an asphalt road everywhere. We have to add a square for public gatherings. We also have to build a swimming pool and a small amusement park for children” – noted the Head of State.

The new hotel has 22 rooms. It was designed in a modern style and it was built by a Georgian investment.
