The Spokesperson for the President of Georgia made a special statement concerning the tragedy that took place at Ktrsanisi Training Center today.

"Everyone knows regrettable fact that took place at Krtsanisi Training Center today. We pay honors to the memory of dead soldiers and express our condolences to their families. By the decision of the President of Georgia the state will cover all expenses needed for the medical treatment of wounded and for the funerals of dead soldiers. Unfortunately the profession of soldier together with great dignity, honor and nobility is connected to the highest risks. The corresponding agency has already started the investigation processes due to the task given by the President on the above-mentioned fact. Mikheil Saakashvili is interested in finishing the investigation process as soon as it is possible and all details to be cleared up", the Spokesperson noted.

The President of Georgia is not in Georgia at this moment. Mikheil Saakashvili will attend an event dedicated to the memory of Richard Holbrook. Besides this, meetings with several political leaders are planned in the United States as well.
