During his visit in Brussels President of Georgia met Robert Simons, a former representative of NATO Secretary-General in Central Asia and Caucasus. Mikheil Saakashvili awarded Robert Simons with Presidential Order of Excellence for his contribution in Georgia's sovereignty and political work, for his support  in ongoing reforms  and strong backing  for Georgia's interests in International field. On the abovementioned position had worked for 7 years.

Mikheil Saakashvili also held meeting with the chairman of the EPP in European Parliament Joseph Daul.
