President congratulates Muslims in Georgia with Bairam holiday
Today President Mikheil Saakashvili visited the mosque at Abonotubani neighborhood of Tbilisi to congratulate the Muslim population of Georgia with the holiday of Bairam and personally hear their problems.
After conversation with people in the Mosque, President ordered the governor of Kvemo Kartli, a region in Eastern Georgia with majority of Azerbaijani-origin population, to restore a Mosque in the regional center Marneuli, which was earlier converted in to a town-club.
President also commented on the upcoming election sin Azerbaijan. He expressed confidence that Azerbaijani people will make a right choice, which will benefit their country. "In the name of Georgia I wish victory to people of Azerbaijan, as stability, freedom and peace in Azerbaijan is important to Georgia's freedom. I hope everything will go well, it is an important process for you and for us," President Saakashvili stated.
