The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili visited ongoing works on natural gas pipeline in Akhaltsikhe and Aspindza
The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili and the Minister of Energy Aleksandre Khetaguri went to Akhaltsikhe and Aspindza today, where they visited ongoing works on the high-pressure natural gas pipeline. The works in the region are done within the frames of the state program - "natural gas for every village". This project must finish by the end of 2008 and it will end the gasification process of the region.
The President opened natural gas regulation station in Aspindza and lit the first torch together with the children. Mikheil Saakashvili stated that natural gas supply would improve the social-economic conditions in the whole region. "We need to finish water supply project in Akhaltsikhe, natural gas will reach every single family", noted the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili.
