President Mikheil Saakashvili left for the United States on September 12 to attend the 60th cession of the United Nations General Assembly.

Poverty reduction, strengthening democracy and human rights, fight against terrorism and reforming the UN are the main issues to be discussed at the session.

Within the framework of the visit President Saakashvili is scheduled to meet with the US government representatives and discuss US-Georgia cooperation issues.
