The President of Georgia continues bilateral meetings within the scope of the EPP Congress in Bucharest. Before his address, Mikheil Saakashvili held several bilateral meetings. The Head of State met with the President of the European Commission. Mikheil Saakashvili and Jose Manuel Barroso discussed issues related to Georgia’s integration in the Euro Atlantic structures.

Jose Manuel Barroso assessed the ongoing political events in Georgia, and called the elections held on October 1^st an important democratic process.
