A meeting was held between Presidents of Georgia and Turkey
The President of Georgia is participating in the workings of a summit dedicated to 20th Anniversary of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC). Mikheil Saakashvili addressed the participants of the summit.
Before the beginning of the summit, a meeting was held between the Presidents of Georgia and Turkey. The main topic of discussion was mutual relations and supporting Georgia on the road to NATO integration.
The meetings of the Head of State with the leaders of other countries participating in the summit are also scheduled.
Leaders of 12 BSEC member countries will be taking part in the summit.
The Black Sea Economic Cooperation was formed in Istanbul on June 25, 1992 as a model of multi-direction political and economic cooperation. The organization, one of the founders of which is Georgia, envisions providing peace, development, and stability as well as assisting cordial and supportive relations in the Black Sea Region.
