The President of Georgia is participating in bilateral meetings in the United States
Mikheil Saakashvili is participating in official meetings with various world leaders within the scope of the 66th UN General Assembly. The President of Georgia has already met with the President of Nigeria - Goodluck Ebel Jonathan. The sides discussed the prospects of partnership and cooperation between Georgia and Nigeria.
Mikheil Saakashvili also held a meeting with President of Kirgizstan - Roza Otumbaeva, with whom he talked about reforms in Georgia that have been implemented.. The President of Georgia shared his experience with the Kirgiz colleague. Namely, the leaders talked about the implemented as well as current reforms in the judicial and law enforcement structures. In addition they focused attention on the improvement of the education system. As Roza Otumbaeva stated, Kirgiz specialists will arrive in Georgia in order to study the Georgian reforms. The two leaders also talked about future relations and discussed the deepening of cultural ties.
The President of Georgia also attended a luncheon in the name of the UN Secretary General - Ban Ki-Moon, which is traditionally held for the leaders of the GA member states.
