Mikheil Saakashvili took the bypass route to get to the funeral of Lech and Maria Kaczynski

Mikheil Saakashvili arrived in Poland to attend Lech and Maria Kaczynski's funeral ceremony.

Because the airspace in Europe was closed the President decided to go to Poland by bypass route. Instead of getting to Poland by the Northern route, from America to Warsaw through the airspace of France or Germany, because of the extreme situation created in Europe his plans were changed.

The President of Georgia took the Southern route to Poland finally. In order to get there Mikheil Saakashvili went first to Portugal, then to Italy and Turkey, he had to take special allowance in all these countries to continue his journey safely.

As for the First Lady of Georgia, because of the same problems, Sandra Rulovs went from Brussels to Krakow by automobile.
