The President of Georgia met with United States Deputy Secretary of States

The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili hosted United States Deputy Secretary of State Jeims Steinberg at President's Palace today. Sides discussed wide spectrum of cooperation issues, among them regional security issues. Mikheil Saakashvili and James Steinberg once again underlined the importance of Georgia-American strategic partnership. Sides expressed their satisfaction about the fact that partnership relations between two countries get deeper. Philip H. Gordon, Assistant Secretary for Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Director of US National Security Council Caucasian and South Europe Affairs Department Daniela Garbi and US Ambassador to Georgia John Bass attended the meeting with the President of Georgia as well. Secretary of Security Council of Georgia Giga Bokeria, State Minister in Reintegration Affairs, Vice Premier Eka Tkeshelashvili and Deputy Foreign Minister Sergi Kapanadze represented the Georgian side during the meeting.
