The President of Georgia toured a new hostel type hotel in Mestia

The President of Georgia attended the opening of a new hostel type hotel "Hosteli Seti" in Mestia. Mikheil Saakashvili toured the hotel, familiarized himself with the conditions and noted that constructing such hotels is absolutely necessary.

Mikheil Saakashvili even opened a Rose Revolution corner in the new hotel, which has 8 rooms equipped to lodge 46 guests.

"They often wonder what benefits the Rose Revolution brought. People came out on the streets and said that they could no longer tolerate the electricity and gas power outages, lack of roads, the criminal environment and that they no longer wanted to live in a county with a dysfunctional government. Nor was the life without the opportunity to receive an appropriate education acceptable forthem. People fled Georgia in all directions. Cynicism and hopelessness dominated the country. This is a very good stand for the Rose Revolution. The Rose Revolution has already reached Mestia and in a very good way. Two weeks before the Rose Revolution, when we held an election rally in Mestia, I was told that I had to request permission to enter the valley from local criminals, which of course I refused to do, in spite of all the threats. In addition, it took us 7 hours to reach Mestia by Jeeps. There are very honorable people here who have been trying to live decently but the situation was absolutely hopeless. Of course, there are still many problems, but compare the old conditions with the conditions today."- stated Mikheil Saakashvili.
