The President of Georgia visited a new brewery

 

 

The President of Georgia symbolically opened a beer brewery in Saguramo today and addressed its managers and personnel. Mikheil Saakashvili spoke to them about the importance of economic development and opening such facilities. The Head of State also touched on the issue of employment and noted that this problem remains the top priority of the government. The President of Georgia stated that each new facility creates additional jobs in the country, which according to him is the best way of overcoming poverty.

Mikheil Saakashvili focused attention on the development of technical directions and noted that development of engineering is a prerequisite for the advancement of the country. He noted that in this sense the mentality of the youth has chanced noticeably, which is proven by the increased demand of technical majors at colleges.

The new factory produces high quality beer and various types of lemonade under the supervision of Czech specialists. The new production will appear on the Georgian market by tomorrow, however the managers of the company are also planning to export it.  Contracts have already been signed with the markets of Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan and negotiations are going on with companies in Spain, Cyprus, and Greece.

The facility was completely built through Georgian investments of over 32 million euro. The joint stock company “Georgian Beer Company” finished the construction of the facility in 7 months and equipped it with European technology. 700 persons are already employed at the factory, including 200 internally displaced persons.

A representative of one of the Czech companies symbolically gave Mikheil Saakashvili a golden key and wished him future success.
