The President of Georgia inspected the road projects implemented in Tbilisi
Mikheil Saakashvili visited the newly opened tunnel under the Ikalto hill and the newly organized transport hubs with Gigi Ugulava by tourist bus today. On the way, the Mayor of Tbilisi familiarized the President of Georgia with ongoing and finished projects. According to the Head of State, Tbilisi is becoming more and more a modern city with new bridges, resting parks, and sophisticated buildings. He also added that unlike the soviet period, every condition is created for the population to travel comfortably. As Mikheil Saakashvili noted, Tbilisi will have two or three levels in the future.
Later today, the President of Georgia and the Mayor of Tbilisi visited a low cost marketplace at Kostava Street organized by the initiative of the City Hall. Mikheil Saakashvili met with the population and expressed interest in their opinion. The President also noted that it is important to bring agricultural products from Kakheti to these regions so that the region that was damaged by a disaster is assisted in this way as well.
