Two new hotels “World Batumi” and “Aisi” have been opened in Batumi

The President of Georgia opened two new private hotels in Batumi today. While visiting the vacation complexes Mikheil Saakashvili spoke about the importance of private investments in Batumi, and named the new hotels as an example of successful cooperation between business and the State. According to the Head of State, the demand for new hotels has emerged in Adjara, where the number of tourists is increasing every year.

“This new hotel was opened by a person from Khulo, the other one by a person from Shuakhevi. I am saying this for those who claim that foreigners have become owners of everything in Georgia. For example, these hotels have been built through a loan and the owner will earn this money back within two years. Aside from this, the owners of private businesses will also benefit from it, because the State is completely taking care of the internal communications problem. City lighting will be fixed everywhere and yards decorated; accordingly people will have an opportunity to benefit from the boom in tourism. The main essence of what is being done in the country is to convert it into prosperity and material wealth for the people” – stated Mikheil Saakashvili.

The newly opened hotels have already become functional in Batumi, and they are hosting their first guests. A boutique style hotel World Batumi, built as a result of reconstructing the former maritime administration building, has 30 rooms and the 14 story hotel Aisi, at the intersection of Gorgasali and Griboedov Streets, has 38 rooms of 8 classes. Both projects have been built by Georgian investments and their total worth is approximately 16 million GEL.
