Mikheil Saakashvili attended a reception held at a US warship docked in Batumi. A cordial reception was held with initiative of the Captain of the ship, Matt Philips in order to underscore the importance of friendly relations and cooperation between Georgia and the United States. The Prime Minister of Georgia as well as other members of the Georgian government and US Ambassador in Georgia, Richard Norland attended the meeting.

The USS Bulkeley arrived at the Batumi seaport on August 10^th, and is scheduled to leave on August 13^th. The crew of the ship will also hold trainings for their Georgian colleagues.
