The President of Georgia hosted the Prime Minister of Moldova in Kvareli

The President of Georgia hosted the Prime Minister of Moldova Vlad Filat, at his home in Kvareli. The meeting was held in an informal setting. Mikheil Saakashvili also made a comment regarding the reforms and successes reached in Georgia. According to him, the Prime Minister of Moldova has joined the list of leaders, who uniformly note that Georgia is a non-corrupt, safe country.

“Moldova is one of the most important partners in terms of integration in the EU and one of the most advanced countries in terms of reforms. As you know the European Union published a study the day before yesterday, according to which Georgia is the least criminalized and corrupt country in Europe. No matter who says what, these are official EU figures which nobody could have dreamed of 7-8 years ago. This is why we are open for partnership as never before. On the other hand, the fact that many foreigners come here makes me happy. Two delegations from Congress and several groups of journalists were visiting Georgia in recent days. Kakheti should become an international brand and the entire world should learn about it. Just like it was in the old days in Poland and neighboring countries. Many people knew local names around the region and this is how it’s going to be in the following years. I am sure of this. In its turn, this will raise the issue of prosperity of this place and this is what bringing many guests here serves. I show them this place, and I am proud of it as I am proud of this vineyard too. I would once again like to welcome our friend. We will work very productively during the next few days” – stated the President of Georgia.

The Head of State familiarized Vladimir Filat with Georgian traditions, technologies of baking Georgian bread and let him taste newly distilled Chacha.
