The President of Georgia toured the newly-built clinic in Tetri Tskaro

The President of Georgia toured the Tetri Tskaro multi-profile hospital, which is newly-built within the scope of the hospital sector development program. Mikheil Saakashvili visited the newborns at the clinic and brought them presents. He also expressed interest in the hospital conditions and spoke with the medical personnel. The Head of State focused attention on the importance of medical insurance and noted that the insurance system must develop quickly in Georgia. According to him, neither the doctors should feel discomfort in terms of receiving salary nor should the patients in terms of service. The President of Georgia also spoke with the population gathered in the yard of the clinic.

Up to 100 qualified specialists will provide medical care of modern standards for the local population at the new hospital. Ambulatory, stationary, maternal, and ambulance care are integrated in the clinic. The Tetri Tskaro Hospital is designed for 15 beds and it was built by the insurance company IRAO through an investment of 1.5 million GEL.

Later today, the President of Georgia decorated a merited scientist, the Vice President of the Academy of Sciences – Guram Tatishvili with the Presidential Order of Excellence for his contribution to the medical development business and for his long and productive work in the surgical sphere.
