The Seminar on human rights issues will be held by the initiative of the President of Georgia
The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili will open the seminar on human rights issues on March 15, which will be held at Bazaleti lake hotel. The purpose of the conference is effective cooperation between the State, non-governmental sector and the organizations defending human rights, because the defense of human rights is the most important issue for democratic transformation of a country, which is preparing for European integration.
The Minister of Justice Nick Gvaramia, the General Prosecutor Eka Tkeshelashvili and the Minister of Internal Affairs Vano Merabishvili will deliver speeches on the related issues.
The Public Defender Sozar Subari will participate in the working process of the seminar as well. The subject matter experts and the representatives of local and foreign organizations working in Georgia will participate in the seminar as well.
The seminar will be held by the initiative of the President of Georgia. The organizational issues will be provided by the President's Administration.
