Mikheil Saakashvili spoke on the telephone with Joe Biden
The President of Georgia spoke with the Vice President of the United States on the telephone for 45 minutes. Joe Biden once again reconfirmed his support to Georgian sovereignty and territorial integrity during this telephone conversation. The President of Georgia informed Joe Biden about the existing situation on the occupied territories of Georgia.
The Vice President positively evaluated the ongoing process of reforms in Georgia and the desire of the country to hold open, transparent and free elections. During the conversation Joe Biden pointed out that USA will assist the Georgian people in future and support the attempts of the Georgian government in their movement towards economic development.
Joe Biden expressed his gratitude to Mikheil Saakashvili for the important share of Georgia in Afghan international mission. A Nuclear Summit will be held in Washington DC in April. The President of Georgia will participate in this Summit; during their telephone conversation President Saakashvili and Vice President Biden discussed the details of the Summit.
