Mikheil Saakashvili awarded La Scala Georgian soloist Anita Rachvelishvili with the Order of Honor at the President's Palace.
The representatives of various arts attended the awarding ceremony.
Mikheil Saakashvili pointed out that 25-year-old Anita Rachvelishvili is a world superstar. "In our political disorder it is very important to find time to appreciate what is the most important. I got great pleasure to see Anita Rachvelishvili's triumph at La Scala. This is not only a celebration of eternal values of art, but this is what is most important for me - to achieve everything with hard work and talent", Mikheil Saakashvili stated.
As Mikheil Saakashvili pointed out Anita Rachvelishvili is not from a privileged family and these very families create material assets and move our country forward. As the President said it is possible to achieve everything working hard in the times of any government and any conditions.
As Mikheil Saakashvili pointed out in the last years unprecedented success of Georgian musical talent is observed. As Mikheil Saakashvili noted Georgia has never had so many opera celebrities. At the same time there are successful Georgian ballet dancers in various countries of the world. "I want to award Anita with the Order of Honor for presenting Georgia's pride", Mikheil Saakashvili stated.
