President Saakashvili opens social adaptation center for children

On June 1, International Children's Day, President Mikheil Saakashvili attended opening of social adaptation center for children in Gldani-Nadzaladevi district.

72 orphans and waifs will live in the center for six months. The children will be trained in different handicraft, later to be employed by different companies. Several business companies have already expressed readiness to help children to find jobs.

"We must manage to rehabilitate and return these children, left without care in streets, to their families. This center serves exactly this purpose. It studies children's mental and physical state and provides them with an appropriate care" the President said.
