The President of Georgia visited the families harmed by a flood
Mikheil Saakashvili arrived in the Tsalenjikha Region today and personally visited the population harmed by the recent flood. The President expressed interest in the condition of each family affected by the disaster. He noted that the most important thing is to make sure the local residents are not in harm’s way and the government can evacuate them safely if needed. The President ordered the relevant government agencies to calculate the loss, assist the harmed population in a timely manner, and restore the communications damaged during the flood.
“First of all, it is necessary to restore the bridges ruined by the disaster. The soil should be flattened and fences erected in every yard. It is necessary to calculate the loss and create a list of the persons harmed by the disaster” – noted Mikheil Saakashvili.
