President Saakashvili opens business information center
Today President Mikheil Saakashvili attended an opening of a business information center created under a joint initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Tbilisi City Hall.
According to President Saakashvili this center will greatly promote Georgia's economic development. "In the center of Tbilisi, in its central square there is a building where any investor, who wants to start business in Georgia, will be welcomed with a flash smile, provided with all the information and guidance. This person might be Georgian, Russian, Kazakh, Jew or American [. . .] Our aim is to serve these people. Our country pursues a principle of one-stop-shop, which means locating all information at one office. A person will go to one office where he will obtain all the information he needs. We should make so that this person felt a desire to invest more money, create more job opportunities and contributed more to the development of the Georgian economy. We have achieved to create appropriate environment for that - it is safe to do business in Georgia, there is no corruption or extortion, and Georgia has become a friendly and attractive country not only for the foreign investors but for the domestic ones," President Saakashvili said.
From now on, any investor interested in making an investment in our country, will be able to obtain any information about investment climate in Georgia from the office located on the first floor of the City Hall.
