Today President Mikheil Saakashvili with the new Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Maia Miminoshvili opened a vocational training center in Rustavi that provides craftsmanship courses.

Annually, 400 students can undergo the training program in the center that lasts for nine months.

Minister of Education and Science Maia Miminoshvili said that the opening of the vocational training center was of significant importance as they promote the development of Georgia.

President Saakashvili observed the whole center and promised to the employees of the center a pay rise from January 1.

In the near future two similar centers will open in Georgia.

Today President Saakashvili also awarded 45 teachers of different districts of Rustavi who excelled in their professional fields.
