GUAM third Summit will open in Batumi today. Georgia is the chair country this year. Summit will last two days. The presidents of Ukraine, Poland, Azerbaijan and Lithuania will be participating in Summit. The Minister of the Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the U.S. Secretary of State Assistant will be the participants of Summit as well. The President of Poland will first arrive in Georgia; he will hold a meeting with the President of Georgia today. After face-to-face meeting the two Presidents will make joint statements for the Georgian press at the press conference.

The President of Georgia together with his Ukrainian counterpart will unveil the monument "The Road of Georgia - the Road of Enlightener" on July 1. The President of Georgia and the President of Ukraine will lit the natural gas on in one of the families in Batumi.

At the same time Mikheil Saakashvili will hold face-to-face meetings with his other counterparts and with other authorities.

After these meetings, GUAM State Leader's closed session will take place. In the framework of the GUAM summit the meetings of state leaders will be held in GUAM + Poland format.

Also GUAM Plenary Session and signing of the joint documents is planned as well. At the end of the day the state leaders will hold the joint press conference.
