The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili made a comment during his visit in Brussels

During his visit in Brussels the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili made a comment on Geneva international talks. According to President's statement Russia was not able to forget Soviet policy and has terminated international negotiations.

"Although Georgia was very constructive, although there was an opportunity to hold serious talks with the mediation of the EU and the United States, the Russians - as I feared and as I suspected - left the negotiations and walked out. This is exactly how the Soviet Union acted in the worst years of the Cold War. This is very regrettable. This will not of course stop our struggle for our independence and territorial integrity; this confirms once again what kind of people and what kind of diplomacy we are dealing with. If anyone still imagined that it was possible to achieve something in these conditions, they should now have a rest. We will continue working with our friends, with our partners; we will continue our consistent struggle for Georgia's de-occupation and for the withdrawal of Russian troops from the occupied territories," stated the President of Georgia.
