Today the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili attended launching of Kalaubani reconstruction.

It is planned to reconstruct and rehabilitate about 30 houses of century in Kalaubani. According to the project the surface of 19th century will be returned to the area. The reconstruction process will be over at the end of current year.

"We need to strengthen houses of people who live in this district, we must construct water system and create human conditions for these people. We must increase prices on the houses existing in this area, to make them attractive for commercial reasons. This will later become source for income for people living here. Besides this, those people who work on this constructions are building future Georgia", - noted the President of Georgia.

The initiator of this project is Tbilisi municipality. The Mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava said that as soon as the rehabilitation process is over new project will be launched together with the population of this area - "start business together with Tbilisi city hall". This project will serve for the development of tourism and will increase the incomes of local population.
