The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili visited areas under crops in Sartichala
The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili visited areas under crops in Sartichala and got familiarized with the sowing campaign together with the Minister of Agriculture Bakur Kvezereli.
Mikheil Saakashvili noted that there are very many agricultural lands in Georgia, which are not cultivated and the country population must actively get involved. Even on the background of the economic crisis Georgia should save agriculture.
"To cultivate more land means that agricultural products will be cheaper and those who live in the villages will have less problems connected with employment", Mikheil Saakashvili stated.
As he said the government is ready to help farmers to cultivate lands and provide them with fuel, seed and fertilizers.
