The President of Georgia MikheilSaakashvili visited Kutaisi
Today the President of Georgia visited Kutaisi. MikheilSaakashvili went to Bagrati Cathedral, where reconstruction works are starting and put the first stone symbolically. MikheilSaakashvili stated that after the reconstruction Bagrati cathedral will return its original appearance and will become the symbol of united Georgia. The president spoke with the local population gathered near Bagrati cathedral and Archbishop Kalistrate and stated that Bagrati cathedral shouldn't be destroyed and the reconstruction of this cathedral will be the most ambitious project in his second presidency term.
The President of Georgia MikheilSaakashvili visited rehabilitation works on water supply system in Kutaisi. Kutaisi water supply project is fulfilled within the frames of Georgia's Millennium project and aims development of Kutaisi water supply systems and service improvement.
According to MikheilSaakashvili'sstatement Georgian government fulfills all pre-election promises honestly - Kutaisi will be supplied with running water for 24 hours, the first stage of this project is already over.
"Georgia has very good future, today we have difficulties and huge hardship in Georgia. More than 20 percent of population is unemployed for last 20 years, and it is reflected in Kutaisi mostly", stated the President of Georgia. Though the President believes that these problems must be solved by hard work only. MikheilSaakashvili added that Kutaisi must become industrial center and the second capital of Georgia.
