On August 18-19, 2008 the First Lady of Georgia, Sandra E. Roelofs visited IDPs from Tskhinvali, Kareli and Gori at the sites of temporary placement located in Tbilisi.

Mrs. Roelofs gave mattresses, linen, warm bedspreads and pillows to the IDPs with assistance of the Rostropovich-Vishnevskaia Foundation and the GIEV Foundation, as well as hygiene products, baby food and toys with assistance of the UNFPA. Numerous such visits were paid during the whole autumn season to the sites of temporary placement located in Tbilisi.
