The President of Georgia is participating in the “Sedona Forum” in the state of Arizona held by the initiative of Senator John McCain. Assisting democratic values and freedom is the main theme of the forum.  Mikheil Saakashvili addressed participants of the forum. While presenting the President of Georgia, the host spoke about the importance of the Rose Revolution and emphasized the huge contribution of Mikheil Saakashvili as a young leader. According to him it is exactly the merit of Mikheil Saakashvili and the members of his team that Georgia became a successful state after being almost a failed one. The host also touched on the October parliamentary elections, and noted that peaceful transfer of power took place during his leadership. The cohabitation process, and the contribution of the Head of State in this sense was also discussed during the forum.

“The President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, is well known to you already. He has been leading the country since 2003 after leading the Rose Revolution. Georgia has become a successful state since then. He was the one to express the Georgian people’s desire to be part of the West and the Georgians, who survived the war with Russia. A peaceful transfer of power took place for the first time in Georgia last October, and he is now playing a decisive role in the cohabitation process” – he noted.
