Mikheil Saakashvili visited the new school of the Chibati Village in the Lanchkhuti area with the Minister of Education and Science today. Mikheil Saakashvili toured the new building and congratulated teachers and students on the beginning of the new academic year. The Head of State attended the learning process, spoke with a foreign teacher, and met with students gathered at the information technologies classroom. As the President noted, it is necessary to create an electronic textbook system which the children of socially unprotected families will use.

“We have to create electronic textbooks for the children of socially unprotected families. They will be downloaded to computers and will lead to more effective learning. By the way, a programming course has been created in Estonia for first graders. We should bring Estonians here on the first stage so that our children have a chance to learn in this direction.  They must train our specialists to teach children beginning in the first grade” – stated the President of Georgia.

The new Chibati School, which is designed for 300 students, fully complies with modern standards. The building has all the necessary equipment. The school has a modern heating system, a lab, library, computer technologies classroom, and a sports field.

There are currently 168 students and 33 pedagogues at the Chibati School including 3 that are certified.
