The President of Georgia opened new projects in rehabilitated Telavi

Mikheil Saakashvili visited rehabilitated Telavi today, where a public holiday was held. The President of Georgia opened a new Public Service Hall in Telavi and spoke to the persons employed there. Later Mikheil Saakashvili travelled by an open electro mobile to the rehabilitated “Nadikvari” Park, and opened it. The Head of State spoke to the gathered audience about the ongoing rehabilitation and future plans. According to the President, rehabilitation is also beginning in areas of Dedoplistskaro, Lagodekhi, Gurjaani, and Kakheti as well as many cities and regions of Georgia. Mikheil Saakashvili noted that like Batumi and Mestia, Telavi will also have a Piaza which will be opened near the hotel “Intourist” area.

“Look at this beauty around! The most important thing is for Telavians to benefit from all of this. This beauty is a prerequisite for development of tourism, strengthening of agriculture and development of the education sphere…all of this creates prospects for every Telavian” – stated the President of Georgia.

A market was also created in Telavi where Kakhetian production such as wine and local souvenirs will be sold.

The President of Georgia also attended the wine pressing process at the Erekle II Square. Those who desired, had a chance to participate in the wine pressing ceremony at the wine press installed at the square.
