Mikheil Saakashvili attended a horse race in Bakhmaro today, greeted the local population, and congratulated them on the Transfiguration Holiday. Mikheil Saakashvili noted that Bakhmaro is a fairly attractive resort during summer time, and it will soon have tourists in winter. The President informed the local residents about the planned projects, and noted that Bakhmaro will have a ski area in the future.
“Everyone should see the Georgian miracle in terms of Bakhmaro at least once. Each one of us travelled here though a very good road and our dream has come true. You have seen that the center of Bakhmaro is being renovated, trade centers and gathering places are also being built…to be short, it is gradually becoming like a modern resort. We began necessary preparatory works for the resort this year. Nothing was happening here during the winter. People only came up here during summer. We have already installed wind radars and we are now building a ski track. People should be able to rest here during summer and winter. Ramaz Nikolaishvili and I have a lot bigger plans regarding Bakhmaro. The Bishop also knows about this because we often share ideas with him. So, Bakhmaro will be the best place” – stated Mikheil Saakashvili.
