The President of Georgia introduced city development plans to the residents of Rustavi

The President of Georgia met with Rustavians today and introduced city development plans to them. During the speech, Mikheil Saakashvili focused attention on the major traditions that this relatively young city bears. The President stated that Rustavi is the main center of the Georgian Engineering School and it has an immense economic significance. As the Head of State noted, a lot of things have already improved here, while naming the already implemented infrastructural projects. According to him, the government spares no effort in order to make Rustavi the most comfortable and livable city. Mikheil Saakashvili congratulated the local people on the beginning of construction of the new Tbilisi-Rustavi Freeway and noted that a historic affair has been set in motion.

The Head of State later introduced the candidate who was attending the ceremony with him, who is becoming the Parliament Majoritarian Deputy, to the people of Rustavi.
