The President of Georgia will participate in the working of the summit of the European People’s Party in Brussels as a result of a personal letter from the President of the EPP. European leaders, Heads of States, and representatives of international organizations are attending the summit. The main theme of the summit is European values and common aspirations, which unite the European leaders. The delegates traditionally meet before the EU gathering and discuss all of the priority issues which are planned to be discussed within the scope of the EU Session.
The President of Georgia will hold meetings with the leaders of the European Union and European Council. Meetings are scheduled with the President of the EPP Wilfried Martens, Vice President of the European Commission Catherine Ashton, Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle, the President of the European Parliament Martin Schutz, the European Commissioner of Energy Gunther Ottinger, and representatives of various international organizations are scheduled.
The EPP’s congress will be held in Brussels on June 28.
