The President of Georgia is holding meetings within the scope of the BSEC Summit in Istanbul. Mikheil Saakashvili held a bilateral meeting with the President of Moldova, who stated that Georgia is a good example for his country in terms of development.

“You have a lot more experience in terms of Euro Integration than us. I know that a lot of reforms have been implemented in Georgia and many things have changed towards the good. Georgia is more successful than our country and we will visit you in the future with various delegations. We have one thing in common -aspiration towards Europe and sharing the Georgian experience in this regard is very important to us. Your advice will assist us greatly in this sense” – stated Nicolae Timofti while meeting with Mikheil Saakashvili.

The Head of State spoke about the necessity of deepening mutual relations and noted that it is important to form exchange programs between secondary school and university students of the two countries.

The President of Georgia also met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine within the scope of the visit. Deepening mutual relations was the main topic of discussion. Mikheil Saakashvili and Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi stressed that more economic projects should be implemented between Georgia and Ukraine.

“The relationship of Ukraine and Georgia is on a very high level but the ties should strengthen even more. I think this partnership is very important for our country. It is also necessary to increase the trade circulation” – noted Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi.
