A meeting between the President of Georgia and the Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Eamon Gilmore, was held in Batumi today. The sides discussed a wide spectrum of mutual relations, including political and economic issues and noted that cooperation has to deepen in this direction. They also discussed regional security issues and spoke about the situation in the conflict zones.
As a representative of the OSCE chair country, Eamon Gilmore mentioned the possibility of restoring the OSCE mission in Georgia.
The Irish Foreign Affairs Minister is visiting Georgia within the scope of his South Caucasus trip.
