The President of Georgia also focused attention on the necessity and importance of developing local businesses. According to him, the advancement of the country’s economy is largely dependent on this. He also mentioned that such projects will assist the process of overcoming poverty.

“Georgia will be fully rich when Georgian business develops and all of our citizens are employed. Development of local business is a prerequisite for the sustainable development of the country” – stated Mikheil Saakashvili.

A four story Radisson hotel building in Tsinandali will have 100 rooms. There will be a 15 meter long underground corridor by which the hotel will be connected to the Tsinandaly Wine Factory. The Tsinandali Radisson will have open terraces, balconies, rooms with exclusive interiors, and a lobby as well as its own parking lot. There will be a swimming pool and a 1000 square meter terrace on the roof of the hotel.

Rehabilitation of a historic monument will also take place during the construction. A wine cellar for aging wine will also be renovated; a wine museum will be opened in the wine factory, conference and degustation rooms, a wine bar, wine cellars, basement storage, and a restaurant will be built. Before this project the “Silk Road Group” renovated the Chavchavadze Home Museum and the historic garden through an investment of 5 million USD.  20 million USD is being invested for the implementation of the new project.

The design was created by a world renowned architect John Fotiadis, for the “Silk Road Group.” The main idea is to combine the old historic and modern elements of design.
