The President of Georgia spent the brilliant holiday of Easter at the Trinity Cathedral. Mikheil Saakashvili attended the Easter liturgy with his spouse Sandra Elizabeth Roelofs. The Head of State congratulated the nation on the brilliant holiday of Easter and wished them a better future and unification of the country.

“I think nothing corresponds to the optimistic nature of the Georgian nation, as much as the brilliant holiday of Easter, because this is the holiday of life defeating death, kindness defeating evil, and light defeating the darkness. All of this is what Georgia represents. This is why I want to congratulate our nation, each one of our citizens on this holiday and wish them a better tomorrow, our hopes coming true, and most importantly the unification of Georgia. Of course on this day, when 20% of our territory is occupied, we are thinking about the fact that our churches are stepped on; thinking about how our people will return to their homes. Of course this is a temporary matter and the evil power that is doing this will definitely be defeated and drawn back. I am absolutely sure of this. This faith helps us live, me and every Georgian patriot. Today, I would once again like to wish them all the best” – stated the President of Georgia.

The Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia David Bakradze, the Mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava as well as other representatives of the legislative and the executive branch attended the liturgy with Mikheil Saakashvili.
