Mikheil Saakashvili decorated Georgian diplomats, scientists, and state and public servants for their personal contribution in rebuilding the country, productive state and public service, and high professionalism, with the Presidential Order of Excellence.
Mikheil Saakashvili specially emphasized the contribution of the Georgian diplomats in recently developed events and called the achieved success the “victory of Georgian diplomacy.” As the President noted, young Georgian diplomats were actively engaged in the negotiations regarding the membership of Russia into the WTO and it is their contribution that enabled the other side to make a very important decision.
Mikheil Saakashvili drew special attention to the diplomatic service of Gela Charkviani. In his turn, Gela Charkviani thanked the President for European values that are clearly expressed in the direction of the development of Georgia.
The Head of State also talked about the achieved success in the science and technology, agriculture, and culture spheres and noted that Georgia continues scientific and technical as well as cultural progress.
