The President of Georgia had a phone conversation with the Vice President of the United States

The President of Georgia had a phone conversation with the Vice President of the United States late last night. Mikheil Saakashvili and Joseph Biden talked about the mutual strategic cooperation of Georgia and the United States.

The Vice President of the United States also mentioned the successfully completed Geneva negotiations regarding the membership of Russia into the WTO. Joseph Biden assessed the process positively and noted that this achievement is a step forward for Georgia.

The Vice President reaffirmed the United State’s full support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia and called the fact that the meeting with the  NATO Council that was held in Tbilisi an important historical symbol.

Joseph Biden also thanked the President of Georgia for active cooperation.
