According to the World Bank “Doing Business 2011” study, Georgia holds the 12th place among 183 countries in the rating regarding the Simplicity of Doing Business.” The country held the 13th place in this rating in 2010. Also, based on the results of the “Doing Business 2011” study, Georgia improved its positions the most in two areas:
- Georgia moved up by 21 places in the Investor Security Criterion and holds the 20th place today;
- The country moved up by 15 places in the Simplicity of Loans and now holds the 15th place.
The country also has leading positions in the following areas: Starting a Business (8th place), Construction Permits (7th place), Registering Property 2nd place and the Simplicity of Trading outside the Country (35th place)
