The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili met his Hungarian Counterpart

The President of Georgia met his Hungarian counterpart Pal Schmitt. An official welcoming ceremony was held in honor of Mikheil Saakashvili at the President's Palace. The President of Hungary met his counterpart at Sandor Palace and after that the Presidents moved to the President's Palace. The first meeting between the Presidents was held in tete-a-tete format . During the meeting the President of Hungary openly expressed his support towards Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. Pal Schmitt noted that he welcomes Georgia's aspiration towards the integration to European structures and expressed his readiness to actively support theprocess of Georgia's integration to Euro-Atlantic space. Sides discussed the issued of deepening bilateral relations and cooperation. The leader of Hungary positively evaluated reforms carried out within the country.

The Presidents held joint press conference after the meeting was over.
