President of Georgia, who continues his visit in the US, once again expressed his condolences to the Japanese people. Mikheil Saakashvili personally visited the Embassy of Japan in Washington and wrote a note in the condolence book.  He claimed that Japan is one of the first countries that assisted Georgia after 2008. Mikheil Saakashvili stated that Georgia is ready to help Georgia in these hard times.

"In 2008, when Georgia was in hardship, Japan was one of the first from those states that gave its hand. They gave us great political assistance. After Russian invasion, the Japanese assisted us financially. Everywhere, we cooperate with Japanese, we feel that this is the nation that understands and supports us in every aspect. That is why, now, when they are in so much trouble, the whole world pays attention to them. We must not stay indifferent. This is a very big nation, making big contributions in the civilization of today's world and is a great friend of Georgia. We should always help our friends, and in a decisive moment, when they are in need of solidarity and assistance, we should express them." - President of Georgia claimed.

The ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the United States Ichiro Fujisaki noted that Georgia and other states of the world express their condolence to Japan. "It is very significant that you are standing by our side." - He stated.
