The President of Georgia met the Chancellor of Germany

The bilateral meeting between the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili and the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel was held within the frames of Munich Security Conference. The meeting between leaders lasted for 40 minutes in a friendly and warm atmosphere. The Chancellor of Germany once again expressed her unconditional support to the territorial integrity of Georgia. Sides discussed Russia-Georgian relationships as well. Angela Merkel explained to Georgian side that during her dialogue with Russia she always raises an issue of fulfillment August 12cease-fire agreement.

Angela Merkel also got interested with the ongoing political and economic processes in Georgia, among them the issues of tourism development as well.

Sides also discussed issues of Georgia-German bilateral relations, deepening cooperation, global security and relations between Georgia and EU.
