Meeting Between the President of Georgia and NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen

NATO Secretary-General  visiting Georgia  was received  in the Presidential office by  Mikheil Saakashvili. The meeting lasted for 50 minutes. The participants discussed the cooperation issues. They also talked about participation of Georgia in ISAF operations and preparation for Lisbon summit. During the meeting with the President   NATO Secretary-General  underlined supporting sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.

 The parties expressed deep sorrow for Georgian servicemen dead in Afghanistan.

The meeting was attended by the Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze, deputy head of the minister Giga Bokeria, the Secretary of National Security Council Eka  Tkeshelashvili and Georgia's Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration , the Vice-President Giorgi Baramidze.

 Joint press conference between Mikheil Saakashvili and Anders Fogh Rasmussen will be held in the Office of the President of Georgia.

NATO Secretary-General   will leave Tbilisi today.
